Telecommunications Design Engineer

About the Job-
Sweco is looking for a Telecom Design Engineer to join our growing team working on International Railway projects.
The position is based in Bangalore or Gurgaon , India.
Total Experience Required-3 to 8 Years
Qualification-B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E.(E&T/E&C)
Role Overview
You will be involved in telecom design across all project stages—from investigation and preliminary design to detailed design and construction—working closely with multidisciplinary railway teams.
Key Requirements
- Knowledge of Indian and European standards and codes used in Railway Telecom systems
- Proven design experience across investigation, preliminary, detailed, and construction phases
- Strong interface coordination experience with other railway engineering disciplines
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation (3D design experience is an advantage)
- Solid understanding of complete Railway Telecom Network Operation Systems
Technical Experience Required
Hands-on working experience in designing:
- Optical Fiber Communication Systems, multi-duct, and copper cable systems
- Cabinets, ODFs, and radio SIR towers
- Telecom systems such as CCTV, Public Address, Clock, Telephone, Public Information Systems, Telestolpe, etc.
- Designs for both line and station areas
- Schematic diagrams
- Cable route plans
- Cabinet network systems
- Rack/Sub-rack design in Telecom/IT rooms
- Fiber termination plans
Skills & Competencies
Ability to independently carry out designs and design reviews
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Good analytical and computer skills
Ability to identify, coordinate, and communicate with multiple disciplines
