Retail & Merchandising Lead -- Premium Streetwear

Unit 9 Retail is looking for a Retail & Buying Lead to join the launch team for a global premium streetwear brand entering India.

This role sits at the intersection of product, culture, and retail execution. We are looking for someone who understands premium fashion and streetwear not just from a sales perspective, but from a merchandising and consumer point of view. The role will involve working closely on assortment planning, product feedback, inventory movement, and retail performance while also helping lead the flagship store experience.

Role

• Work closely on seasonal buying, assortment planning, and category selection
• Analyse sell-through, customer behaviour, and product performance
• Help build India-relevant assortments while maintaining the global brand identity
• Track trends across streetwear, sneakers, fashion, music, and youth culture
• Manage inventory movement, replenishment, and stock optimisation
• Lead flagship retail operations and customer experience
• Build and manage a strong retail team and store culture
• Drive sales performance, conversion, and repeat customer relationships
• Coordinate launches, drops, activations, and in-store experiences
• Work closely with marketing and brand teams on product storytelling and retail execution

Requirements

• Experience in premium fashion, buying, merchandising, or streetwear retail
• Strong understanding of global streetwear and contemporary fashion culture
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset
• Ability to balance product taste with business performance
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on execution ability
