This leadership role involves managing multi-layered sales teams, driving regional business strategy, and ensuring strong execution across multiple territories.\nThe ideal candidate should have proven experience in handling geographically spread field sales teams and must be comfortable with frequent travel across the entire Maharashtra region for business operations, team management, and market expansion activities.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage Area Managers, Team Leaders, and large field sales teams across Maharashtra\nDrive zonal sales performance and ensure achievement of business targets and KPIs\nDevelop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with organizational growth goals\nConduct regular performance reviews, field visits, training sessions, and skip-level meetings\nMonitor sales productivity and improve operational efficiency across territories\nBuild strong relationships with key channel partners, clients, and stakeholders\nAnalyze market trends, business performance, and sales metrics to identify growth opportunities\nEnsure proper implementation of company policies, IRDAI compliance, and audit standards\nDrive business expansion initiatives across urban and semi-urban markets in Maharashtra\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless execution of sales operations\n\nEligibility Criteria\nEducation\nGraduate in any discipline\nMBA preferred\nExperience\nMinimum 7–10 years of experience in General Insurance Sales\nAt least 3–5 years of experience managing Area Managers / Team Leaders\nStrong experience handling zonal or multi-location sales operations\nProven track record of managing large field sales teams across regions\nMandatory Requirements\nProficiency in Marathi (spoken)\nStrong experience in General Insurance Sales\nMust be willing to travel extensively across Maharashtra\nExperience managing geographically distributed teams\nStrong understanding of Maharashtra insurance markets and distribution networks\nDesired Skills\nStrong leadership and team management capabilities\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nStrategic thinking with strong business acumen\nAbility to manage high-pressure, target-driven environments\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nCapability to scale sales operations across multiple territories\nIdeal Candidate Profile\nProven success in leading regional or zonal insurance sales teams\nExperience driving aggressive business growth in competitive markets\nComfortable managing large-scale field operations and frequent travel\nStrong people management and coaching capabilities\nAbility to build high-performing sales teams across locations\nImportant CV Highlight (Mandatory)\nCandidates applying for this role should clearly mention the following in their CV:\nExperience handling Maharashtra market\nTeam handling span and regional coverage\nWillingness and experience in extensive travel across Maharashtra\nMulti-location / zonal team management experience\nGeneral Insurance business achievements and target accomplishments
