Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic procurement professional with 5 years of experience in logistics sourcing and vendor management. The role involves managing transportation procurement, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring cost-effective and efficient logistics operations. Key Responsibilities: Handle procurement of logistics services including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Source and onboard transporters, 3PL vendors, and logistics service providers. Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs). Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to agreed service standards.
Manage RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluation, and vendor selection process. Coordinate with internal teams (supply chain, warehouse, finance) for smooth execution. Track market trends, freight rates, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain proper documentation of contracts, rate cards, and vendor agreements. Resolve operational and billing issues with logistics vendors.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field Certification in Supply Chain/Procurement (preferred but not mandatory) Preferred Industry: FMCG / Pharma / Manufacturing / E-commerce / Logistic
