SQL Database Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities:\n• Install, configure, and deploy MSSQL Server instances\n• Manage database security including user accounts, roles, and permissions\n• Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks\n• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues\n• Perform backup and restore operations\n• Automate tasks using T-SQL and PowerShell scripting\n• Configure and manage HA/DR solutions (Log Shipping, Mirroring, Always On AG, Clustering)\n• Document database activities, configurations, and procedures\n• Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and database performance\n• Stay updated with the latest MSSQL Server technologies and best practices\nRequired Skillset:\n• Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration\n• Good knowledge of Windows Administration\n• Hands-on experience with T-SQL scripting\n• Strong understanding of MSSQL Server architecture and functionality\n• Experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools\n• Knowledge of database security principles\n• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills\n• Strong communication and teamwork abilities\n• Ability to work independently and in a team environment\nNice to Have / Preferred Skills:\n• Experience with database performance tuning tools\n• Experience with HA & DR solutions (Log Shipping, Mirroring, Always On AG, Clustering)\n• Experience with database migration methodologies\nEducation Required:\n• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
