Job Title: Assistant Manager – International Freight Sales
Location: New Delhi Department: Business Management
Reporting To: Head Sales International Freight
Salary upto 9 Lacs
Role Overview The Assistant Manager – International Freight will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring smooth execution of international air and ocean freight Sales, and supporting profitability targets. The role involves building relationships with Direct Customers only. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Partner Management Identify, engage, and onboard new Direct Customers for Air and Ocean freight to achieve revenue and growth targets. Use DTDC Worldwyde network to grow the freight business Develop and maintain relationships with prospects and key accounts, including senior-level decision makers. 3X GP to be delivers based on the monthly CTC Track and Report sales performance metrics and adjust statergies as needed. Track competitor activities, market rates, and share insights to strengthen business positioning. Generate sales and achieve Zone Budgets(Top Line as well as Bottom Line.) On board Freight customers and achieve the monthly target onboarding numbers. Financial & Margin Control Monitor costs, revenue, and shipment margins to ensure profitability. Get the outstanding cleared with in the approved credit period. Escalate and seek approval for low margin shipments (<10%), maintaining audit trails. Support timely invoicing, vendor bill processing, and ensure compliance with financial SOPs. Coordinate with the billing team to close accounts accurately and on schedule. Reporting & Compliance Keep the pipeline/RFQ tracker up to date.(To be done every day) Ensure compliance with MSME and NonMSME requirements, GST norms, and trade regulations. Support adherence to internal SOPs, audits, and certifications (IATA, ISO, AEO). Maintain records and approvals for financial and operational transparency.
Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of international air & ocean freight, customs, and documentation. Proven ability to acquire and develop business partners (CPs, DPs, vendors). Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Analytical mindset with focus on margins, profitability, and reporting. Proficiency in MS Office and freight management systems. Problemsolving skills with ability to manage escalations and exceptions. Qualifications & Experience Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Business. 3–5 years of relevant experience in international freight forwarding (Air & Ocean). Familiarity with Incoterms, IATA/IMO regulations, trade compliance, and GST requirements. Exposure to partner/vendor networks such as WCA and DTDC Worldwyde network will be an added advantage.
