Job Title: Production Engineer Company: Suyog Electricals Limited (SEPL Cables) Location: GIDC, Halol, Gujarat Industry: Electrical Equipment Manufacturing – Cables (B2B) Experience: 0–2 Years (Freshers Welcome) Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The role involves supporting day-to-day production operations, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, maintaining quality standards, and continuously improving processes in cable manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers and early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning & Execution Assist in planning and executing daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Coordinate with supervisors and shop floor teams to ensure timely completion of production targets.

Monitor production progress and report deviations or delays. 2. Process Optimization & Improvement Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.

Support implementation of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 3.

Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications during all stages of production. Conduct routine inspections and assist QA/QC teams in resolving quality issues. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects or non-conformities.

4. Equipment & Maintenance Support Monitor machine performance and assist in troubleshooting basic operational issues. Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Help reduce machine downtime through timely reporting and follow-ups. 5. Inventory & Material Management Track availability of raw materials (Copper, Aluminium, insulation materials, etc.).

Coordinate with stores and procurement to ensure uninterrupted production. Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing material wastage. 6.

Safety & Compliance Follow and promote safety protocols on the shop floor. Ensure proper usage of PPE and adherence to safety guidelines. Participate in safety audits and training programs.

7. Documentation & Reporting Maintain production records, reports, and logs. Update ERP or internal systems with accurate production data.

Prepare daily production reports and performance summaries. Required Skills & Competencies: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (preferably cable manufacturing or similar industry). Knowledge of production planning concepts and shop floor operations.

Familiarity with ERP systems (training can be provided). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and coordination abilities.

Willingness to work in a plant environment and learn continuously. Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude. Preferred (Not Mandatory): Exposure to Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Kaizen / Six Sigma concepts.
