Senior Finance Manager - SOLARA
Job Description
You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to drive profitability, cash flow optimization, and build finance infrastructure for a fast growing start up. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Operations & Reporting Own monthly MIS, P&L by channel, and contribution margin analysis (CM1, CM2, CM3) Build and maintain channel-wise profitability dashboards Drive weekly/monthly business reviews with actionable insights Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization 2.
GST & Compliance End-to-end GST compliance across multiple states and warehouses Handle GST audits, reconciliations (GSTR-2A/2B vs books) Manage e-way bills, LUT for exports, and input credit optimization Ensure TDS/TCS compliance for marketplace transactions Coordinate with external auditors and consultants 3. Marketplace & D2C Finance Reconcile marketplace payments (Amazon VC, Flipkart, quick commerce) Track and recover deductions, chargebacks, and disputes Manage payment terms optimization across channels Own return economics and inventory write-off analysis 4. Business Partnering Support pricing decisions with margin analysis Evaluate new channel/SKU launches with financial models Partner with supply chain on inventory planning and GMROI Provide data-driven insights for strategic decisions 5.
Systems & Process Building Drive ERP implementation (SAP B1 / similar) Integrate finance systems with EasyEcom/marketplace data Build automated reporting and reduce manual reconciliations Document SOPs and strengthen internal controls You Should Have Must Have: CA with 5-8 years post-qualification experience 2 years in D2C / e-commerce / consumer brands Strong hands-on experience with GST compliance (multi-state) Proficiency in Tally, Excel (advanced), and data analysis Experience with marketplace reconciliations (Amazon/Flipkart) Good to Have: ERP implementation experience (SAP B1 / Oracle NetSuite) Experience with quick commerce finance operations Working knowledge of inventory accounting and costing Exposure to fundraising / investor reporting Mindset: Ownership mentality - you see a problem, you fix it Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-scaling environment Data-driven decision maker Strong communication - can explain finance to non-finance teams What You'll Get Direct access to CEO and leadership team Opportunity to build finance function from ground up High-growth environment (scaling 2-3x in next 2 years) Competitive compensation ESOPs Work on interesting problems: multi-channel P&L, working capital optimization, category economics
