Roles & Responsibilities

Contracting

  • Review, draft, and negotiate customer MSAs and commercial agreements (including US customers).
  • Standardize and strengthen contract management processes, templates, and policies.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contract structuring, risk identification, and negotiation strategy.
  • Train and guide teams on legal best practices related to contracting and compliance.


Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws including Company Law, FEMA, and obligations under Shareholder Agreements (SHA).
  • Oversee corporate governance and statutory compliance matters.
  • Manage intellectual property matters including trademarks and related filings; coordinate patent-related support as required.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations including GDPR and associated frameworks.
  • Partner cross-functionally to proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Support legal due diligence and documentation for fundraising initiatives.


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB / LLM or equivalent).
  • Qualified Company Secretary (CS) certified by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)

Experience

  • 5–8 years of legal experience in a B2B SaaS company with exposure to US customers (mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of IP, patents, and trademarks.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and data privacy regulations is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
