Purchase Executive – Chemical Trading

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive for our chemical trading business. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing chemicals, coordinating with suppliers, negotiating prices, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials. The role requires strong coordination with sales, logistics, and accounts teams to maintain smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure industrial and specialty chemicals from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate commercial terms with vendors.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders as per company requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely dispatch and delivery of materials.
  • Maintain relationships with existing vendors and develop new supplier networks.
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and sales teams for stock planning.
  • Follow up on pending orders, shipment schedules, and documentation.
  • Verify purchase invoices and coordinate with accounts for payment processing.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and contracts.
  • Monitor market trends, raw material pricing, and supplier developments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and chemical procurement regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in chemical trading or industrial products.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
  • Understanding of chemical products and supply chain processes preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in handling industrial chemical procurement.
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation and logistics coordination.
  • Analytical and cost-comparison skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple suppliers.

Salary & Benefits - 40,000/- p.m.to 60,000/- p.m
