About the Job\n\nPearls Consulting is seeking a specialist team for a financial operations engagement with one of Saudi Arabia's important fintech platforms. The platform operates a wallet infrastructure, manages multi-party settlements, and requires seamless reconciliation across wallet engines, PSPs, card networks, and banking systems.\n\nOffer 1: Wallet / Payments Operations Consultant\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nReview wallet architecture, lifecycle transactions, and financial events\nEvaluate system integrations (SAP, banks, payment service providers (PSPs), and other external entities)\nDefine processes related to wallet management and settlement, including withdrawals across all channels, refunds, recycling, and reversals\nDesign reconciliation logic between PSP settlement files, wallet ledger entries, and bank statements\nDefine the financial event taxonomy for each payment type, including card top-ups, international wire transfers, SADAD payments, refunds, withdrawals, and edge cases like partial payments, FX conversion mismatches, indeterminate transaction states, and failed authorisations\nWork closely with the client’s product and finance teams, translating operational pain points into structured requirements\nDesign the Target Operating Model for wallet and payment operations\nEvaluate reconciliation platforms for their ability to handle the complexity of the ecosystem\n\nThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:\n7+ years of hands-on experience in digital payments, wallet operations, or fintech, specifically in operating systems rather than consulting about them\nPractical experience managing a wallet ledger, processing PSP settlement files, investigating failed payments, and handling escalations when reconciliation issues arise\nDirect experience with at least one of the following: a wallet platform (STC Pay, Urpay, HalaPay, Revolut, Wise, Cash App, Payoneer), a PSP (HyperPay, Checkout.com, Adyen, Stripe, Tap Payments, PayTabs), or the payments operations team at a large marketplace or digital platform\nIn-depth understanding of card network settlement mechanics, including Visa, MasterCard, and Mada, as well as interchange fee structures and the distinctions between authorization, capture, and settlement\nExperience working in SAMA-regulated environments (or equivalent central bank oversight) for stored value/e-money products\n\nOffer 2: Wallet / Payments Systems Consultant\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead the system selection workstream by evaluating the market for reconciliation platforms and financial operations tools\nBuild the evaluation framework and provide actionable recommendations based on your findings\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n10+ years of experience in systems architecture, integration architecture, or solution architecture, with a strong focus on financial services or fintech\nHands-on experience with at least three of the following:\nSAP S/4 HANA integration (FICO module, bank communication, payment processing)\nPayment system architecture (PSP integration, card network flows, settlement processing)\nWallet/ledger systems (BaaS platforms, e-money systems)\nBanking APIs and standards (ISO 20022, MT940/CAMT.053, SWIFT)\nReconciliation platform architecture (BlackLine, ReconArt, Duco, or similar)\nStrong understanding of integration patterns, including real-time APIs, event-driven/webhooks, and file-based batch, and the trade-offs between them\nExperience with event-driven architecture, with familiarity in event sourcing concepts being a plus\nFamiliarity with BIAN service domain framework and TOGAF architecture methodology\n\nLocation: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (ideally) or remote\nSenior Consultant Level : this is a hands-on expert role , not a team or client management position.\nContact: Please send your resume to:
