Job Description
We are looking for a highly capable finance professional who can independently manage and strengthen the company’s finance and compliance operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Job Title - Senior Finance Associate Experience - 4–6 Years Qualification CA Qualified/Semi Qualified / MBA in Finance / M.Com / B.Com Candidates with prior experience in CA firms or startup environments preferred Strong accounting and compliance background is mandatory Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Finance Associate who can take ownership of the end-to-end finance and compliance function, from bookkeeping and financial reporting to statutory compliance and audit coordination. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on expertise in accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, payroll-related regulations, audit management, and financial controls.
This role requires close coordination with external CA firms, auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and smooth finance operations across India and US entities. The candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic startup ecosystem and capable of independently handling finance operations with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting operations for India and international entities.
Pass journal entries and maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards. Handle general ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules. Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closures.
Maintain proper accounting documentation and audit-ready financial records. Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, financial summaries, and management reports. Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversee vendor invoice processing, payment approvals, and payment execution.
Manage customer invoicing, collections tracking, and receivable reconciliations. Monitor payable and receivable ageing reports and follow up on outstanding balances. Maintain vendor and customer master data including statutory details.
GST, TDS & Direct Tax Compliance Ensure timely and accurate GST compliance including: GSTR-1 GSTR-3B GSTR-2B reconciliation Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation GST notices and departmental queries Handle end-to-end TDS compliance including deduction, deposit, reconciliation, and return filings. Assist in Income Tax compliance, advance tax workings, and tax return coordination. Coordinate with external consultants for tax assessments and notices.
Labour Law & MCA Compliance Support compliance related to: PF ESI PT Shops & Establishment Payroll-related statutory requirements Coordinate and maintain records for MCA filings and corporate compliance requirements. Ensure timely filing of statutory forms, resolutions, and annual compliance documentation. Audit & Financial Control Coordinate with external CA firms and auditors for: Statutory Audit Tax Audit Transfer Pricing Audit Internal Audit Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, and closure reports.
Assist in implementation and monitoring of internal financial controls and SOPs. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements. Transfer Pricing & International Compliance Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transaction reconciliations.
Coordinate with consultants for transfer pricing studies and audit requirements. Maintain documentation for international financial transactions and related compliance. US Accounting & Compliance Support US finance and compliance activities including: US GAAP-based reporting Financial reconciliations US vendor/customer accounting Compliance documentation Coordination for US tax filings and returns Work closely with finance leadership and external advisors for US compliance requirements.
Expense Management & Financial Analysis Monitor and analyze operational expenses and budget utilization. Prepare monthly burn reports and variance analysis. Identify cost optimization opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Systems & Process Improvement Work on accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems. Improve finance workflows, automation, and reporting processes.
Ensure strong documentation and process discipline across finance operations. Experience with spend management tools like Ramp is an added advantage. Requirements 4–6 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, taxation, and compliance.
Strong practical knowledge of: Accounting & Bookkeeping GST & TDS Income Tax Labour Law Compliance MCA Compliance Transfer Pricing Statutory Audit Financial Reporting Understanding of US GAAP and US compliance/tax processes is highly preferred. Experience coordinating with external CA firms, auditors, and consultants. Strong proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, and accounting systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced startup environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High attention to detail and ownership mindset.
Preferred Qualifications CA Inter qualified candidates preferred. Experience working in SaaS, technology, startup, or multinational environments. Exposure to multi-entity accounting and international finance operations.
Prior experience handling audit closures independently. Knowledge of automation tools, ERP systems(Tally, Zoho Books), and financial process optimisation.
