Compliance Manager
Job Description
Visit to factories / project offices for ongoing discussions related to settlements and follow up visits to ensure the proper compliance. Compliance: Ensure adherence to labour laws, regulations, and company policies to minimize legal risks which includes: Renewal of factory licences of factories Renewal of Licences/Registration under Shops and Establishments Act at HO, R&D Divn. and other Project Offices.
Submission update list of factories/project offices along with their validity period of licenses/registration to the Secretarial dept. Renewal of Consent under Water and Air Acts at factories. Submission of statutory compliance reports Attending various court matters pending before Labour Court / Industrial Court etc Compliance under contract labour Act including tracking of statutory compliance made by sub-contractors.
Submitting list of the cases pending before various courts in various states to the Secretarial Dept./System Dept. (Monthly/ Quarterly) Follow up with the concerned Advocates for sending necessary information in requisite format to the statutory auditors. Consultation with legal advisors for the labour & other matters.
Processing the professional bills/fees of advocates/consultants. 4.Grievance Handling: Address employee complaints, disciplinary issues, and workplace conflicts fairly and effectively. 5.
Policy Development: Draft and implement HR and IR policies that promote fairness, equality, and productivity. 6.Training & Awareness: Conduct workshops on labour laws, workplace ethics, safety and conflict resolution. 7.Workplace Culture: Promote employee engagement, trust, and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications Master’s degree in human resources , Industrial Relations, Law, or Business Administration . Strong knowledge of labour laws, compliance frameworks, and union practices . Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills .
Proven experience in managing employee relations and union interactions . Skills Required Experience : 10 to 15 years of experience in Multiple locations and states of Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Project Industry & EPC Analytical ability to assess workplace issues and propose solutions. Clarity in Labour Laws : Objectives of Act, Applicability, Various implementation aspects.
Interpersonal skills to build trust with employees and management. Decision-making skills for handling sensitive disputes. Leadership qualities to guide HR teams and influence organizational culture.
Good understanding of : Productivity, Production norms & safety at factories and sites. Experience in : handling cases of accidents under Workmen Compensation under WC policies/ESI etc,
