Lod, UT, IN Full Time
Reference: be7bcdfb11a9afa7

Job Description

The BIM Engineer (LOD 350) will lead the development and management of high-fidelity 3D models of tower structures (telecom/utility). The focus is on creating accurate, \"construction-grade\" digital twins that integrate detailed structural connections, component data, and IoT sensor data to support structural analysis, predictive maintenance, and operational lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • LOD 350 Modelling & Data Integration: Develop and maintain 3D models at LOD 350, ensuring accurate representation of tower components (lattice, monopoles, mounts) and their precise connections with other systems (antennas, mounts, cables).
  • As-Built Documentation: Transform laser scan data/point clouds into detailed 3D Revit models to create highly accurate \"as-built\" digital twins.
  • Clash Detection & Resolution: Perform multidisciplinary clash detection to ensure, and validate, that new equipment fits within the existing structure without conflicts before deployment.
  • Digital Twin Lifecycle Management: Integrate sensor data (IoT) into the BIM model to monitor real-time conditions like deflection, temperature, and structural stress.
  • Structural Analysis Prep: Prepare models for engineering analysis by ensuring accurate geometry, material specifications, and connectivity details.
  • Documentation Management: Generate, manage, and update construction documents, shop drawings, and asset data sheets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit (mandatory) and AutoCAD. Experience with BIM 350, Navisworks for clash detection, and RSA software for structural analysis.
  • Experience: 5–7+ years of experience in BIM modelling, with specific experience in structural steel or telecommunication towers preferred.
  • LOD Standards: Deep understanding of AIA LOD specifications, specifically the transition from LOD 300 to LOD 350 (elements + connections).
  • Data Driven: Experience in connecting BIM models with IoT systems for Asset Management (Digital Twin).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field
