AVP- Power Trading (Solar)

Role Overview:\nTo manage power scheduling, trading activities, energy settlement, and regulatory coordination for solar power projects while ensuring optimum power sale realization and grid compliance\nJob Summary:\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nMonitor daily power generation and coordinate power scheduling activities.\nManage short-term and long-term power trading through power exchanges and bilateral arrangements.\nCoordinate with SLDC/RLDC/DISCOM for scheduling and forecasting activities.\nEnsure compliance with CERC/SERC regulations and grid discipline requirements.\nHandle power trading operations, power exchange bidding on IEX/PXIL and deep portal bidding etc.\nAnalyze market trends, power demand, tariffs, and exchange prices.\nPrepare daily MIS reports related to generation, scheduling, deviation.\nHandle energy accounting, deviation settlement mechanism (DSM), and invoicing.\nCoordinate with O&M and project teams for generation optimization.\nSupport PPA management and commercial negotiations.\nMonitor renewable energy certificates (REC), open access, and carbon credits etc.\nHandle power trading operations, power exchange bidding, IEX/PXIL and deep portal bidding etc.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\nKnowledge of power exchanges (IEX/PXIL)\nUnderstanding of SLDC/RLDC procedures\nScheduling & forecasting knowledge\nRegulatory and tariff understanding\nAdvanced Excel and MIS reporting\nAnalytical and communication skills\nExperience: Minimum 15 Years\nExperience in renewable energy / solar / power trading preferred.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nB.Tech / BE (Electrical / Power / Energy)\nMBA (Power Management) preferred\n\nRole KPI:\nPower sale realization\nScheduling accuracy\nDSM penalty reduction\nRevenue optimization\nRegulatory compliance adherence\n\nBehavioral Competencies\nStakeholder Management\nCommunication & Influencing Skills\nOwnership & Accountability\nAdaptability & Agility\nAttention to Detail\nProblem Solving\nWhy Join Us\nHigh-growth renewable energy company\nPurpose-driven, sustainability-focused work\nGreat Place to Work (GPTW)-certified culture\nFast-track learning and career growth
