Data Engineer - Client Success (STC)
Job Description
What you will do in this role: Ensure timely response, recovery, and resolution of batch automation disruptions while meeting customer SLAs Monitor and maintain smooth operations of o9’s cloud-based platform Work closely with DevOps and Support teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues Validate, transform, and manage customer data using tools like SQL, SSIS, Excel, Apache NiFi, Hadoop, PySpark, and Hive Analyze customer data, understand functional/technical dependencies, and ensure data integrity Support CI/CD processes and improve system reliability Monitor and analyze system performance metrics for continuous improvement Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell Understand and work with o9 platform data models (tables, relationships, optimization structures) Fine-tune performance, automate manual processes, and implement system checks Create and execute integration test cases; track and resolve bugs/issues What you’ll have 2–5 years of relevant experience in technical consulting, support, or similar roles Strong proficiency in Python and SQL Hands-on experience with ETL tools like SSIS Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred) Experience with planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, e2open, Kinaxis, JDA (preferred) Knowledge of data processing tools like Hadoop, PySpark, Hive (preferred) Familiarity with statistical/optimization tools (R/Python/JavaScript) is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills Ability to take ownership and work independently with minimal supervision Good understanding of system performance tuning and automation Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative field Master’s degree (preferred) What we’ll do for you: Flat organization: With a very strong entrepreneurial culture (and no corporate politics).
