Job Description – Automation Engineer

Position: Automation Engineer

Experience: 3–7 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial automation systems.
• Hands-on experience with System Houses of Siemens, ABB, Allen Bradley, and Rockwell Automation.
• Experience in PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, and industrial control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve automation-related faults and ensure minimum downtime.
• Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for automation systems.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
• Support system upgrades, modifications, and automation improvement projects.
• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and record maintenance of automation activities.
• Follow safety standards and ensure compliance during all maintenance and project activities.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Siemens, ABB, Allen Bradley, and Rockwell Automation platforms.
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols and control systems.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in shifts and handle breakdown situations efficiently.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Experience in steel, manufacturing, process plant, or heavy industry will be preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage maintenance activities independently.
