Job Description
- Implement recovery objectives while managing legal processes and building strong relationships with legal stakeholders.
- Follow the legal recovery strategy and support collections teams to strengthen regional recovery performance.
- Execute recovery plans for active cases and ensure timely updates of legal MIS.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date tracker of all legal cases filed by the company.
- Draft legal notices, replies, and other formal legal communications.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of litigation procedures, including SARFAESI, Section 138, arbitration, execution proceedings, civil and criminal cases, and ARC matters.
- Conduct customer visits for stressed and chronic borrowers to facilitate legal recovery, including execution of Section 14 where required.
- Represent the organization before courts and tribunals to defend filed cases.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and judicial bodies to ensure timely recovery of dues.
- Utilize legal tools such as Section 138 notices, legal notices, Lok Adalat, and conciliation mechanisms for effective recovery.
- Manage the regional lawsuit database and introduce new legal tools and processes for efficiency.
- Initiate and drive projects aimed at reducing legal costs within the region.
- Ensure all case files are properly documented and compliant with established procedures.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with solicitors and legal partners.
- Handle non-performing assets (NPAs) by developing customized recovery strategies to maximize returns.
- Lead and mentor the team to ensure effective execution of compliance requirements and actionable tasks.
