Role Description
Handle type approval, certification, and homologation activities for vehicles and components.
Prepare and submit technical documentation, drawings, and compliance reports to authorities.
Coordinate with testing agencies (ARAI, ICAT, BIS, etc.) for product approvals.
Interpret and implement automotive regulations, standards, and notifications (CMVR, AIS, BIS, ECE, etc.).
Support R&D and Design teams to ensure regulatory compliance in new product development.
Track changes in automotive rules and standards and communicate updates internally.
Maintain records of test reports, approvals, and certificates.
Assist in testing activities, including witnessing tests and ensuring regulatory conformity.
Manage renewals, extensions, and amendments of existing certifications.
Liaise with government authorities.
Experiences: - 2 to 3 years
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Homologation procedures, Certification processes, and regulatory compliance
Experience in technical documentation, report preparation, and coordination with certification bodies
Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations, including ICAT and ARAI certifications
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage timelines effectively
Previous experience in the automotive or related industries is highly desirable
A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field is required
