Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and driven QA Engineer with deep expertise in mobile automation testing using Selenium and Appium. In this role, you will be a key member of our software quality assurance team, ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms - including real devices, emulators, and simulators. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team using modern development and product techniques, contributing to the continuous improvement of our Checks platform.

Mobile Testing & Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain mobile automation test suites usingSelenium with Appium for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Set up, configure, and manage mobile emulators and simulators (Android Studio, Xcode) as well as real device testing environments.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Selenium and Appium for mobile test automation across both Android and iOS platforms
• Proficient in setting up and working with Android emulators (Android Studio) and iOS simulators, as well as real device testing.
• Leverage BrowserStack, LambdaTest, and similar cloud-based platforms to support cross-browser and cross-device test automation.
• Utilise Google Firebase and TestFlight for app distribution, crash monitoring, and test management across mobile environments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and documentation of tests, automation frameworks, and testing environments.
• Work with colleagues to ensure the platform and data are tested and maintained on a continuous basis.
• Apply Page Object Model (POM) and Dart programming design patterns to build scalable, maintainable automation frameworks.
• Coordinate and validate all production releases to ensure successful deployment verification.
• Write, maintain, and execute both manual and automated tests, ensuring full traceability through tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
• Good understanding and practical experience with Appium, Dart programming, and the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Solid understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, with examples of continuously learning new testing skills.
• Hands-on experience across functional and non-functional test phases.

Technical Skills:

• Experience using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
• Knowledge and understanding of SQL syntax with the ability to write and interpret SQL queries.
• Ability to read, write, maintain, and execute both manual and automation tests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  

Qualifications & Experience Level:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation, combined with 3+ years in mobile automation using Appium tool testing experience in a Senior QA Engineer or equivalent role.
• This role is also suited to Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) with a strong background in automation frameworks and coding.
• Proven track record of proactively identifying issues and providing effective, timely solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire subject matter expertise and apply it across assigned business areas.
