JOB DESCRIPTION
This role will have the following responsibilities:
Any degree is okay; but MUST be good with community management, customer engagement, Excel, data mining and web research
Must be obsessed with empathizing with customers and ensuring data accuracy with minimum supervision
Must have excellent data mining skills (finding websites, site admin details, decision makers of EDU sites, etc.) and rapport building / influencing skills
This role will have the following responsibilities:
- Nurture and build rapport with top Edge School districts, Educators and IT admins and influencers from Edge in Education community
- Manage the Microsoft Education premium support channel for Edge in Education customers
- Identify and outreach to top educational websites, ISVs and apps to get them to recommend Microsoft Edge
- Coordinate with the Edu community and line up Pilots, on features, and drive market understanding discussions.
- Have high quality PowerPoint & M365 skills to generate material for the Edu audience.
- Evangelize Microsoft Edge in internal and external forums related to Microsoft Education or EdTech or Education in general
- Engage with Microsoft field teams and help / motivate them to pitch Edge to our Education customers
- Manage internal reporting, dashboards and newsletters to provide visibility on the impact being created
- Search and classify tweets and other posts on internal and external forums related to Edge in Education
- Report any potential feedback or new feature suggestions to the appropriate team and follow up with them
- Revert to the user if their suggestion or ideas were considered or not
- Engage in 1 on 1 or 1 to many conversations with Education and EdTech influencers in internal and external forums, and evangelize Edge browser
- Reach out to or respond to field teams within Microsoft and get them to pitch Edge to their Education customers
- Check for any support tickets from top Education customers and attend to them as needed
- Identify list of top websites or apps or extensions that are education related
- Check for compatibility with Edge. If any issues found, report to appropriate team or to the ISV
- Check if any user documentation has to be updated by ISV to include Edge. If needed, reach out to ISV and get it updated
- Check for presence of extension in Edge Addons. If not present, outreach to ISV and encourage them to publish to Edge Addons
- Interaction level – with Edge in EDU team, with partner teams in Microsoft, with users directly or via social media
