JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is a results-driven professional responsible for leading the sales team, driving revenue growth, and expanding market presence. This role involves developing sales strategies, managing client relationships, achieving sales targets, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure customer satisfaction and business success. The Sales Manager plays a key role in forecasting, performance tracking, and building a high-performing sales culture aligned with organizational goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales approaches.
Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and provide coaching and feedback.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales team members.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Understand customer requirements and propose tailored solutions to meet business needs.
Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of client concerns.
Business Development
Drive lead generation, pipeline management, and conversion through structured sales processes.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales initiatives with campaigns and offerings.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track sales metrics, prepare forecasts, and analyze performance data.
Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue projections to management.
Ensure accurate documentation and CRM updates.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with internal teams including marketing, finance, operations, and customer support.
Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery/operations teams for customer onboarding.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
5+ years of experience in sales, with 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
Experience in B2B/B2C sales (industry-specific experience is a plus).
Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales reporting systems.
Willingness to travel within Bangalore or other regions as required.
