Job Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced Design Engineer – Fire Protection & ELV Services to lead the design, coordination, and implementation of fire protection systems and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems for commercial, industrial, and Data Center (DC) projects. The candidate should have strong expertise in system design, drawings, calculations, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements. Design for air cooled, DCLC, LIC expertise.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nFire Protection System Design\nPrepare concept, schematic, and detailed designs for fire protection systems including:\nFire Detection & Alarm Systems (FDAS)\nFire Suppression Systems\nSprinkler Systems & Pre action systems.\nGas Suppression Systems (FM200, Novec, Inergen, etc.)\nHydrant & Hose Reel Systems\nPerform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and hydrant networks.\nPrepare fire protection layouts, riser diagrams, and equipment sizing .\nEnsure designs comply with NFPA, NBC, FM Global, and local authority regulations .\n\nELV System Design\nDesign and develop layouts for ELV systems , including:\nCCTV Surveillance Systems\nAccess Control Systems\nPublic Address / Voice Evacuation Systems\nStructured Cabling Systems\nBMS / IBMS integration\nIntrusion Detection Systems\nCPMS\nWLD, RRS, FLD\nDCIM & EPMS\nPrepare schematics, single-line diagrams, and cable routing drawings .\nDefine system architecture and equipment specifications, knowledge of 7layers of security.\nData Center (DC) Design\nDesign fire suppression systems specifically for Data Centers .\nEnsure compliance with TIA-942, Uptime Institute, and NFPA standards .\nCoordinate with MEP, IT, and infrastructure teams for DC environments.\nDesign VESDA / Early Warning Smoke Detection Systems .\nEngineering & Documentation\nPrepare/Review design reports, BOQs, specifications, and tender documents .\nConduct/Review load calculations and equipment selection .\nPrepare/Review technical submittals and compliance documentation .\nCoordination\nCoordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams , consultant, PMC, site execution teams.\nParticipate in design review meetings and technical discussions .\nSupport project teams during installation, testing, and commissioning for technical resolutions.\n\nCompliance & Standards\nEnsure designs meet international and local standards such as:\nNFPA\nNBC\nUL/FM\nTIA-942/Uptime\nLocal Fire Authority Requirements\n\nRequired Skills\nTechnical Skills\nFire Protection System Design\nELV System Design\nHydraulic Calculations\nFire Alarm System Design\nGas Suppression System Design\nData Center Infrastructure Design\nSoftware Skills\nAutoCAD\nRevit MEP (Preferred)\nHydraulic calculation software\nMS Office\nBIM coordination tools (preferred)\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering\nFire protection certifications:\nNFPA Certification – Optional but advantageous\nCFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) – Optional but advantageous\n\nKey Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nGood understanding of Data Center infrastructure\nAbility to work in multidisciplinary design environments\nStrong communication and coordination skills\nAttention to technical details and safety compliance\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience in Hyperscale / Enterprise Data Center projects\nExposure to BIM-based design environments\nExperience in international design standards
