Senior Automation Engineer
Job Description
We're looking for a senior QA Engineer who can own the quality engineering layer end-to-end: designing automation frameworks, driving API and functional coverage, and applying AI-augmented practices to a technically complex, cloud-native product.\n\nThis is a high-autonomy role. You will work alongside AI engineers, platform architects, and product teams in a startup-style environment — setting quality standards, not just executing against them.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nAutomation Framework Engineering\nDesign and build scalable E2E automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Selenium\nArchitect reusable component libraries, page object models, and CI/CD-integrated test pipelines\nHandle real-time and streaming data test scenarios inherent to agentic platform workflows\n\nAPI Testing\nOwn API test strategy across REST — functional, schema, contract, and negative testing\nBuild API automation using Postman / Newman , REST Assured, or framework-native patterns\nValidate auth flows (OAuth, JWT), error handling, rate limits, and data integrity across services\n\nFunctional & Regression Quality\nDesign and maintain comprehensive functional and regression suites across enterprise workflows\nApply formal testing techniques — EP, BVA, Decision Tables, State Transition Testing — rigorously\nOwn quality metrics: defect leakage, automation coverage, escape rate, and execution efficiency\n\nAI-Augmented Quality\nUse AI-assisted tools for test generation, coverage analysis, and intelligent defect classification\nValidate AI/LLM outputs — accuracy, determinism, hallucination risk, and failure modes\nContribute to testing conversational and agentic UX workflows within the Concierto platform\n\nCloud Infrastructure Awareness\nNavigate AWS / Azure / GCP environments to configure test infra and diagnose cloud-layer failures\nWork with Docker and Kubernetes for containerised test execution environments\nCollaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD integration and environment consistency\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile\nExperience\n7–8+ years of QA engineering experience across automation, functional, and API testing\nExposure to cloud-native, SaaS, or AI/ML platform testing environments preferred\n\nAutomation Expertise\nStrong hands-on expertise with Playwright (TypeScript) and/or Selenium — framework design, not just scripting\nExperience building data-driven, parallel, and CI-integrated automation architectures\nStrong understanding of locator strategy, selector stability, and auto-healing patterns\n\nAPI & Functional Testing\nDeep proficiency in API testing — functional, contract, schema validation, and security-adjacent scenarios\nStrong application of formal techniques: EP, BVA, Decision Tables, State Transition\nAbility to design risk-based test strategies and prioritize coverage under time constraints\n\nAI & Cloud Exposure\nExperience testing AI/ML features or LLM-powered interfaces is highly preferred\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted QA tooling — test generation, intelligent test selection, output validation\nWorking knowledge of at least one cloud platform ( AWS, Azure, or GCP ) and container tooling\n\nMindset & Fit\nTreats test code with production-grade engineering standards\nComfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving environments with evolving requirements\nStrong ownership mentality — drives quality outcomes without process hand-holding\nNot suited for highly structured, process-heavy environments with low autonomy\n\nWhy choose Trianz?\nPersonal Growth: Startup agility with enterprise impact.
