Department of Applied Psychology


Specializations: Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology & General Applied Psychology

The Department of Applied Psychology invites applications for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in the areas of Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology, and General Applied Psychology. The institution seeks passionate academicians and researchers committed to excellence in teaching, research, student mentoring, and institutional development.


Key Responsibilities


  • Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and advanced courses in Applied Psychology and related specializations.
  • Deliver subjects including Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Research Methodology, Organizational Behaviour, Mental Health, and Behavioral Sciences.
  • Develop lesson plans, curriculum content, assessments, and academic resources aligned with university and UGC guidelines.
  • Mentor students for academic growth, internships, research projects, dissertations, and career development.
  • Conduct high-quality research and publish papers in peer-reviewed and reputed journals.
  • Guide student research, dissertations, and doctoral work as applicable to the role.
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs, and academic collaborations.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation processes, rankings, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Support departmental administration, outreach activities, counseling initiatives, and institutional events.
  • Build collaborations with hospitals, NGOs, industries, schools, and community organizations for practical exposure and research opportunities.
  • Utilize modern teaching methodologies, digital learning platforms, and innovative pedagogical practices.


Eligibility Criteria


Assistant Professor

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology/Applied Psychology with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
  • NET qualification preferred as per UGC norms.
  • Ph.D. in Psychology/Applied Psychology preferred or pursuing.


Associate Professor

  • Ph.D. in Psychology/Applied Psychology from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience as per UGC norms.
  • Strong research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.


Professor

  • Ph.D. in Psychology/Applied Psychology from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of teaching/research experience as per UGC norms.
  • Proven academic leadership, research contributions, and doctoral guidance experience.


Preferred Skills & Competencies


  • Expertise in Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology, Counseling, or Behavioral Sciences.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of psychological testing, counseling techniques, and research tools.
  • Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary research and community engagement.
  • Experience with NAAC/NBA accreditation and academic quality processes.
  • Proficiency in digital teaching-learning platforms and LMS tools.
  • Commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student-centric learning.
