Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:\n\nManage day‑to‑day accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.\nHandle Accounts Payable operations, including vendor invoice verification, posting in ERP, and timely processing.\nEnsure timely vendor payments, manage AP aging, and resolve vendor‑related queries.\nPerform vendor reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies to ensure accurate balances.\nPerform bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations on a regular basis.\nMaintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, including capitalization, additions, deletions, and periodic reconciliation.\nMaintain internal financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.\nEnsure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations, including accurate and timely filings.\nEnsure end‑to‑end TDS compliance, covering deductions, deposits, returns, and reconciliations.\nHandle departmental assessments, notices, and audit observations, coordinating with consultants wherever required.\nPrepare MIS reports and financial summaries for management review.\nMonitor budget versus actual performance, prepare variance analysis, and share insights with relevant stakeholders.\nAssist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.\nSupport cost analysis activities, including identifying cost‑saving opportunities.\nAnalyze major cost components such as material, labor, and overheads, and provide inputs for profitability analysis.\nCoordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax auditors.\nProvide support during tax audits and financial audits, including documentation, explanations, and follow‑ups.\nManage month‑end and year‑end closing activities in line with prescribed timelines.\nPrepare and deliver presentations and financial summaries for internal reviews and management discussions.\n\nCompetencies & Skills:\n\nStrong knowledge of financial accounting, GST laws, taxation framework, and statutory compliances\nSound understanding of Accounts Payable processes, internal controls, and MIS reporting\nExperience in audit handling and departmental assessments\nAnalytical mindset with attention to detail and compliance orientation\nAbility to manage timelines and handle multiple priorities effectively\nProficiency in SAP is preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint\nBasic understanding of costing and cost analysis\nGood communication and coordination skills for dealing with vendors, auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
