The role requires strong expertise in strategic sourcing, textile/fabric procurement, vendor development, costing, commercial negotiations, and supply continuity management.\nThe incumbent will play a critical role in optimizing procurement cost, improving vendor performance, ensuring timely material availability, and supporting production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement\nLead procurement activities for raw materials, fabrics, trims, and related production inputs.\nDevelop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing and value engineering initiatives.\nEnsure uninterrupted supply of materials to support production timelines.\n2. Vendor Development & Management\nIdentify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and job work partners.\nBuild strong relationships with domestic and international vendors.\nConduct vendor capability assessments, price benchmarking, and performance evaluations.\nDrive supplier negotiations related to pricing, payment terms, lead times, and quality standards.\n3.

Costing & Commercial Negotiation\nManage costing analysis for raw materials and production services.\nLead commercial negotiations to achieve optimum procurement value.\nMonitor market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and sourcing risks.\nEnsure procurement activities are aligned with budget and margin expectations.\n4. Production & Job Work Coordination\nCoordinate closely with production, planning, and operations teams for material requirements.\nManage job work procurement and subcontracting activities.\nEnsure timely dispatch and receipt of materials from job work vendors.\nResolve supply chain bottlenecks impacting manufacturing operations.\n5. Inventory & Supply Planning\nMonitor inventory levels to maintain optimum stock availability.\nMinimize excess inventory and avoid stock-outs through effective planning.\nCollaborate with warehouse and production teams for material reconciliation and control.\n6.

Compliance & Process Governance\nEnsure procurement processes comply with company policies and audit requirements.\nMaintain procurement documentation, contracts, and MIS reports.\nDrive process improvements and digitization initiatives within procurement operations.\n\nDesired Skills & Competencies\nStrong knowledge of textile and fabric procurement processes.\nExpertise in strategic sourcing and vendor management.\nStrong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.\nGood understanding of costing and procurement analytics.\nAbility to manage multiple vendors and high-volume procurement operations.\nStrong coordination and stakeholder management skills.\nAnalytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.\nProficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools, and Microsoft Office.\n\nExperience\n10+ years of experience in raw material procurement and sourcing.\nProven experience in textile/fabric procurement preferred.\nExperience in handling vendor development and commercial negotiations.\nPrior exposure to manufacturing or textile industry is preferred.\n\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Textile Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.\nMBA / PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations Management will be an added advantage.
