Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:\nPurpose:\nTo develop, implement and maintain environmentally responsible business practices.\nTo ensure 100% compliance in Environmental Management, statutory approvals, returns and records.\nEnsure safe, reliable and compliant operations of ETP and ZLD plants.\nTo lead the Implementation of Corporate Environment & Sustainability Protocols across the organization.\nTo ensure strict adherence to environmental standards and nurture a ubiquitous culture of sustainability.\nTo ensure the seamless integration of sustainable practices into the organizational framework.\nTo conceptualize, plan, co-ordinate, develop and deploy Environmental Best Practices across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities:\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate skills and competencies to work and deliver in Regulatory Compliance Management, Permits and Risk Management\nCompliance Management and Evaluation:\nEstablish and Drive a System of Proactive Compliance adherence and strive towards Beyond Compliance initiatives in areas of relevance at site .\nEvaluate, prepare and submit applications for Environment Clearance, Consent To Establish, Consent To Operate, Hazardous and Other Waste authorization .\nAdhere to applicable regulations for Plastic Waste, E-waste, Battery Waste, Solid Waste Rules as per applicability.\nTo ensure that Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) targets are achieved.\nTo review and audit compliance in alignment with legal mandates, permits and regulations.\nTo assist site teams with technical clarifications for EC, CTE, and CTO at State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) or Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).\nTo compile all relevant new regulatory compliances & ensure implementation.\nTo keep abreast of all legal and regulatory updates at the State and Central Level and develop a system of management appraisal on relevant legal and other compliance requirements\nTo ensure timely and systematic submission of all relevant legal and regulatory filings, returns and procedural requirements.\nConduct daily audits and assessments across sites to ensure compliance and all-time readiness of site.\nUnderstand the customer requirements with respect to Environmental Compliance and intervene with customers to ensure compliance to Supplier Code of Conduct\nEnsure visit and co-ordination with Local Pollution Control Board Offices/Relevant departments and ensure communication and brand image building with local authorities\nResource Circulation:\nEnsure 100% compliance in ETP and ZLD operations through consistent monitoring, review, rectification and operations of all unit processes as per statutory and process requirements.\nExperience in operating HRSCC, UF and RO processes.\nExperience in handling ZLD operations based on MVRE.\nDrive the concept of circular economy within Tata Electronics, with emphasis on Water and Waste; This will entail developing common framework, metrics, and guidance around water and Waste stewardship.\nDesign, Operate and Maintain Water and Wastewater systems based on the concept of 4R. Evaluate and monitor performance of Zero Liquid Discharge Systems.\nExperience in Operation and Maintenance of Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems\nExperience in Supervising operation of STP/ETP/Hazardous Waste Storage areas and ensure performance parameters for the same are defined and adhered to all times.\nShift Planning and Scheduling to ensure seamless management of compliance at site 24 X 7.\nPrepare and evaluate Water, Wastewater and TDS Balance for assigned site and report deviations from set internal standards and targets on daily basis.\nTo plan and develop Waste Segregation Policy and ensure deployment at manufacturing sites (company level).\nImplement a systematic approach to identify, manage, reduce, responsibly control disposal, and minimize waste to landfills from operations.\nTo develop and implement Waste Management and E-auction Policy.\nManagement Systems:\nTo sustain and ensure compliance to all requirements of ISO 14001/45001 at site.\nTo establish, update and review Corporate Apex Manual & RoR for assigned site with respect to Environment Management System.\nTo ensure systems, Procedures and documentation at assigned site with a specified focus on Risk Based Thinking for Continual Improvement.\nTo conduct internal & cross factory audits.\nTo ensure co-ordination with Third Party and internal teams in planning, organizing, execution and successful completion of Certification and Surveillance audits\nTo ensure closure of all findings and Horizontal Deployment.\nTo ensure Continual Improvement through Environment Management Programmes.\nCorporate Sustainability (GHG, Water, Waste Reporting):\nDevelop systems for inventorization of GHG Emissions as per GHG Protocol.\nEnsure that targets set by individual stakeholders are in alignment with the Net Zero targets of the organization.\nIdentify, compile, monitor, review, implement and ensure effectiveness of decarbonization measures taken in the organization.\nBuilding Thought Leadership :\nIdentifying emerging environmental trends most likely to affect Tata Electronics.\nGenerate insights on the latest regulations, technologies new practices and processes.\nAssist and co-ordinate the leadership team in framing, improving and continual evolution of the Environmental and Sustainability strategy of the organization.\nBe the source of latest information and knowledge on ESG aspects and contribute by engaging with project team for developing strategy and ESG narrative.\nEssential Attributes:\nA strong team player with a sense of unified commitment, shared responsibility and trust in the team.\nStrong problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, a high level of personal initiative and the ability to work well with multi-sectoral environment.\nA strong ability to deal with ambiguity and a faced paced work environment.\nSustainability and environmental practitioner with strong understanding of strategy-building processes, appreciation of sustainability and its relevance to business process.\nStrong research and analytical skills.\nStrong oral and written communication and presentation skills -ability to interact with corporate leaders.\nCertifications :\nISO 14001-Lead Auditor\nEMPRI/Equivalent Certification in ETP Operations\nGRI Sustainability Certification\nTCFD\nSASB\nEnvironment Management\nEnvironmental Law\nCertified Green Factory Practitioner\n\nPlease Note: Proficiency in Kannada is preferred
