This role requires direct involvement in infrastructure support, vendor coordination, hardware procurement, and user lifecycle management, while also leading local IT initiatives and collaborating with overseas departments to support business critical systems. The IT Manager will act as both a technical lead and operational owner for IT within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure & Daily Operations:

  • Manage, maintain, and optimise software platforms and enterprise systems.
  • Perform and oversee system upgrades, patching, configuration, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure high availability of systems and conduct regular restoration testing in line with business continuity plans.
  • Provide hands-on support for technical issues across hardware, software, and networking.

End-User Support & Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including device provisioning, access management, and license allocation.
  • Maintain MDM solutions for endpoint compliance and security.
  • Ensure timely resolution of service desk tickets and act as escalation point for complex issues.
  • Standardise device builds and enforce IT policies across all users.

Migration & Transitions:

  • Lead and execute data transitions from Microsoft SharePoint or Google Workspace environments to organisation-wide Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Support transitions from multiple platforms to a unified organisation-wide technology and security stack.
  • Assist with infrastructure setup and integration during acquisitions or business expansions.

Virtualisation & Cloud:

  • Administer virtual machines and support virtualisation environments.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including provisioning, access management, monitoring, and cost optimisation.
  • Support cloud security configurations and enforce best practices.

Security & Compliance:

  • Work closely with the Information & Cyber Security Manager to implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, endpoint protection, and anti-virus solutions.
  • Ensure systems comply with internal IT policies and external audit requirements.
  • Monitor vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation activities.

Vendor Management & Hardware Procurement:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and hardware suppliers.
  • Coordinate hardware procurement including laptops, desktops, networking equipment, and peripherals aligned to company standards and budgets.
  • Track hardware inventory, asset tagging, warranty coverage, and lifecycle management.
  • Review vendor performance and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.

Automation & Process Improvement:

  • Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate routine tasks.
  • Improve operational processes to reduce manual workload and optimise license utilisation.
  • Continuously review and enhance IT workflows and documentation.
