Job Description:We are seeking an SAP ABAP Consultant with 2-4 years of hands-on experience in S/4HANA ABAP development, with strong Core ABAP fundamentals and growing expertise in modern ABAP technologies such as CDS Views, OData services, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). The role focuses on developing clean-core, scalable, and cloud-ready solutions aligned with SAP's S/4HANA roadmap. Roles & Responsibilities • Design and develop S/4HANA-optimized ABAP solutions using CDS Views, RAP, and OData services. • Implement RAP artifacts including behavior definitions, service definitions, and service bindings. • Develop CDS Views with associations, annotations, and authorization concepts. • Build custom ABAP developments such as Reports (ALV / OO ALV), Enhancements, and Forms. • Perform debugging, performance optimization, and issue analysis in S/4HANA systems. • Collaborate with functional and UI teams to deliver Fiori-based solutions. • Participate in unit testing, defect fixing, and production support. Required Technical Skills (Must-Have) • Strong Core ABAP programming fundamentals. • ABAP OO / OOPs concepts: classes & objects, encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, interfaces, and exception handling. • Hands-on exposure to global/local classes (OO-based developments such as OO ALV are a plus). • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA ABAP. • CDS Views (data modeling, annotations, associations). • OData services development and consumption. • RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) - managed or unmanaged scenarios. • ALV Reporting (Classical / OO). • Enhancements (BAdIs, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements). • Debugging and performance tuning. Good-to-Have • Working knowledge of SAP BTP and cloud-enabled ABAP development. • IDoc and interface exposure (IDoc, RFC, API-based) including basic troubleshooting. Functional Exposure (Preferred) • SAP SD / MM / FI / PP (any one or more). • Understanding of end-to-end business processes, including manufacturing scenarios. • Ability to translate functional requirements into RAP-based technical solutions.
