Job Description
Interior cabin Trims\nExperience: 4-10 yrs\nJob location: Pune\n\nScope of Role\nEngineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5/V6 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for projects of Interior Interior-Cabin Trims.\n\nArea of Responsibility :\nThis position is responsible for creation of CAD and lead role in support of various Interior-Cabin system.\nResponsible for the design and development of\nPillar Trims: A‑Pillar, B‑Pillar (Upper/Lower), C‑Pillar (Upper/Lower), Scuff Plates. etc Headliners & Overhead Console: Fixed Roof, Panoramic Roof, Opening Panoramic Roof etc.\nCarpet & Load Space: Front/Rear Carpet, Load Space Side Trims, Parcel Shelf, Load Floor, Storage Blocks etc.\nNVH: Dash NVH, Bulkhead Insulation.\nEnsure CAD data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time\nProvide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence\nAbility to check and manage Interfaces and clearance to interface parts.\nEnsure manufacturing feasibility of parts.\nEnsuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Team Lead.\nEnsuring that the all-project deliverables are met on time.\nEnsure timely delivery of all Cabin systems and components in alignment with project timelines and milestones.\nProactively escalate critical technical or program issues to the Cabin ML for timely decision-making and resolution.\nWork in accordance with vehicle specification books, feature lists, and CMF (Colour, Material & Finish) requirements to ensure design compliance.\nMaintain standardized templates and common practices for preparing technical specifications, DVPs, DFMEAs, and conduct structured technical design reviews.\nLead planning and execution activities to secure on time part development and delivery throughout program phases.\nOwn and deliver the Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) deliverables\nDrive cross functional issue resolution meetings during development and launch phases to ensure smooth program progression.\nPrepare Design Change Requests (DCRs) to address build issues and support timely implementation of necessary engineering updates.\nGood Understanding of DFMEA, CAE requirements, DVP- Design validations, Testing on Component/Assembly\nSupport Purchasing team in Sourcing and RFQ activities.\nSupport vehicles launch and pre-production builds (both virtual and physical) establishing the teamwork plan\nShould have knowledge of at least one Make to Print program from Kick-off to J1\nManagement of Supplier (s) to ensure system/component delivery to vehicle programme timing and attribute targets.\n\nEssential:\nExtensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6. Catia V6 is most preferred.\nGood all round design skills which must include experience of working on at least one of Pillar trims or scuff plates project.\nCarpet and Load Space Trim project.\nExperience in Soft trims and soft trims.\nSuccessful history of delivery within the automotive sector.\nTeam Centre Engineering (TCE) / Enovia experience\nEngineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s)design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.\nSkills:\nDemonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, adapting style to suit different audiences, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.\nDemonstrates and fosters a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.\nIn depth knowledge of Interior- Cabin Trims.\nCAD Literacy: Ability to generate CAD data and Master sections in CATIA V5/V6\nPC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc\nAnalytical, logical, and critical thinking ability.
