As a Team Lead - AI, we are looking for a strong Python engineer with hands-on exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI, along with the ability to guide a small team and own critical modules.
This role is ideal for someone who is transitioning into leadership while remaining hands-on in development and contributing to real-world AI-powered applications.
Job Description
Design and develop scalable AI-enabled backend systems and applications
Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.) into business use cases
Build and maintain backend services and APIs for AI-driven features
Contribute to development of AI-powered applications (chatbots, automation tools, etc.)
Guide and support junior developers, ensuring code quality and best practices
Work on improving performance, latency, and reliability of AI systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions
Troubleshoot and debug issues in production systems
Participate in sprint planning and ensure timely delivery of assigned modules
Work with basic MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and versioning (good to have)
Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in software development, with strong focus on Python-based backend development
- Hands-on experience or exposure to AI/ML/NLP or Generative AI use cases
- Experience in building and deploying APIs, microservices, and scalable applications
- Familiarity with integrating LLM APIs or AI services into real-world applications
- Exposure to MLOps concepts, such as model deployment, monitoring, or lifecycle management (good to have)
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring or guiding junior team members/interns
- Experience working in Agile environments, contributing to sprint-based delivery
- Ability to take ownership of modules/features and deliver with minimal supervision
- Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and production support
