About The Client:
Client is a life insurance company in India. The firm offers life insurance products targeted at individuals and groups, catering to four distinct segments: protection, children, retirement and investment plans.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze requirements/USs and create test scenarios, cases, and data for Life/Asia modules (New Business, Policy Admin, Billing, Claims) and related systems.
- Execute functional, integration, end to end, and regression testing across web/portal and batch processes; validate cross system data flows.
- Perform API testing (manual/semiautomated) and DB validations using SQL to verify calculations (premiums, commissions, charges) and policy lifecycle events.
- Use quality testing tools (e.g., Test Management, Defect Tracking, API tools) to maintain traceability, manage execution, and log high quality defects with evidence.
- Prepare and manage test environments and test data (products, riders, underwriting scenarios), coordinate dependencies, and support release readiness.
- Validate documents and outputs (proposals, schedules, statements, invoices), rule configurations, and batch jobs related to Life/Asia.
- Contribute to smoke/regression suites, identify candidates for automation, and collaborate with automation engineers to keep suites current.
- Produce daily/exit reports, drive defect triage to closure, and continuously improve test checklists, coverage, and reusable assets.
