Data Analyst

MISSION\n•To support DCS Operational Reporting, DCS Asset Configuration and DCS Capacity Management processes within the DCS Service Operations group, under the guidance of the Asset Configuration and Capacity Team Manager\n•To collect, process and analyze data from various platforms, interpret underlying patterns and trends to support decision making\n•To drive and embed DCS Strategy of Hyperscale\n\nOUTCOMES\nBusiness-as-usual responsibilities:\n•Responsible for accurate production of BAU reports, data collection and data processing.\n•Responsible for maintaining internal trackers and other data logs\n•Respect SLA and OLA of the process and accuracy of the outcomes\n•Manage regular BAU activities\nBusiness Analysis:\n•Work closely with customers (internal DCS teams) to understand their business requirements for data analysis and presentation and deliver the expected outcomes\n•Apply data mining techniques to provide feasible solutions to customer needs\n•Support the internal and cross-functional UAT tasks assigned and document method statement and outcome\n•Identify opportunities and improve procedures\nData Analysis:\n•Apply data mining techniques on multiple datasets/platforms, do gap-analysis, derive results\n•Produce quality outcome of analysis, be efficient and maintain consistency\n•Apply data visualisation techniques and other conventional methods to efficiently produce reports for business and customers\n•Use automations for efficiency and innovation where applicable\n•Thrive constantly to improve the services, assist, identify and implement continual service improvement\n•Contribute with own data and analytic expertise to interdisciplinary teams to assist them in optimizing performance\n\nTHE TEAM\nThe Data Analyst will be reporting to the Asset Configuration and Capacity Team Manager and will be working alongside existing colleagues and seniors in the team. The head office is Mumbai, but should be available to meet the rest of the team based in Bangalore when required.\n\nTHE SKILLS / EXPERTISE THEY BRING\nEssential\n•Knowledge of Data Centre Facility Infrastructure\n•Experience in Data mining and Data visualisation techniques\n•Excellent knowledge on MS Excel/Access/PowerPoint\n•Excellent verbal & written communication skills\n•Good analytical skill\n•Positive attitude towards changes\n•Thrive to take initiative and responsibility\nDesirable\n•Experience with working in an international environment\n•Experience in complex data management\n•Experience in Data management via BI\n•Understanding of Configuration Management principles\n•Understanding of Capacity Management principles\nAdded advantage\n•Working knowledge on any ITSM ticketing tools\n•Hands-on experience in any reporting tools like Power BI\n•Knowledge in Database / Query language\n\nQualifications\n•Graduate or post graduate in IT/Management/Electrical/Mechanical\n•2+ years of experience in data analysis or reporting roles\n•ITIL V4 Certification (added advantage)
