Job Description

Human Resources position in a hospital involves managing and coordinating various HR functions within a specific unit . Primarily the responsibilities include:\n\n1. Recruitment :\n- Overseeing the recruitment process for the unit, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.\n- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements related to recruitment.\n\n2.

Employee Relations:\n- Handling employee relations issues within the unit, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance management.\n- Promoting a positive work environment and fostering employee morale and engagement.\n\n3. Training and Development:\n- Identifying training needs within the unit and coordinating training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.\n- Supporting career development and succession planning initiatives.\n\n4. Performance Management:\n- Implementing performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.\n- Working closely with unit managers to address performance issues and develop improvement plans.\n\n5.

HR Administration:\n- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation for the unit.\n- Handling payroll administration, benefits administration, and other HR-related administrative tasks.\n\n6. Compliance and Policy Implementation:\n- Ensuring compliance with hospital HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.\n- Implementing and communicating HR policies and initiatives within the unit.\n\n7. Health and Safety:\n- Collaborating with the hospital's health and safety team to ensure a safe working environment within the unit.\n- Promoting health and safety awareness and compliance among unit staff.\n\n8.

Strategic HR Initiatives:\n- Participating in strategic planning and initiatives related to HR within the hospital.\n- Contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies to support the unit's goals and objectives.\n\nRequired knowledge: Relevant knowledge and experience in core HR; good understanding of organization policies and procedures; should be proficient in handling daily HR related issues.\n\nRequired skills: The job requires good communication, team leading, directing and decision making skills; a disciplined and proactive approach required; should be computer literate.\n\nEducation, experience & formal training: MBA(HR)/IRPM/MHRM/MSW with a minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience.\n\nReports/records: Some of the records to be maintained are:\n• Daily reports\n• Weekly recruitment reports\n• Monthly operation review reports\n• Salary adjustment reports\n• Extra duties and allowances reports\n• Payroll related documentation
