Consultant II - Celonis Data Engineer

About The Job:

• We are seeking an experienced Celonis Data Engineer to support and drive enterprise-scale process mining and execution management initiatives using the Celonis Execution Management System (EMS).
• The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, process analytics, and hands-on Celonis implementations to help identify inefficiencies and optimize end-to-end business processes.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into Celonis EMS.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and process owners to understand source systems, process flows, and requirements.
• Build and optimize Celonis data models, including Event Logs, Data Pools, Data Models, and Views.
• Develop and maintain IBC (Intelligent Business Cloud) analyses, KPIs, and dashboards.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, performance, and reliability across Celonis applications.
• Integrate Celonis with enterprise systems such as SAP (ECC/S/4HANA), Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and other platforms.
• Support process mining use cases across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline and performance issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for Celonis development and optimization.
• Stay current with Celonis product updates and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills

• 12+ years of overall IT experience, with strong exposure to data engineering, analytics, or BI solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Celonis EMS, including extensive use of PQL (Process Query Language).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced data modeling.
• Proven experience designing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience integrating data from ERP systems, particularly SAP ECC or S/4HANA.
• Solid understanding of process mining concepts, event logs, and business KPIs.
• Experience working closely with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional, global teams.

• Celonis certifications (Analyst, Engineer, Solution Architect, Technical Expert).
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data transformation and automation.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based data warehouses.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Celonis implementations.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for Celonis data models.
