Role Purpose

To drive revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic customer acquisition for Battery / Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across C&I, utility, and industrial segments. The role will lead end-to-end sales-from opportunity identification to deal closure-while building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 1. Sales Strategy & Business Growth
  • Develop and execute sales strategy for Battery / BESS solutions across target segments (C&I, utilities, EPCs).
  • Drive order booking, revenue, and margin targets for the assigned region/business.
  • Identify new markets, applications, and GTM strategies for energy storage solutions.
  • Build annual business plans and forecast pipeline.
2. Key Account & Customer Management
  • Manage relationships with:
    • EPC contractors
    • Project developers
    • Utilities / DISCOMs
    • Industrial customers
  • Build strong connects at CXO, technical, and procurement levels.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Business Development & Deal Closure
  • Generate leads and convert opportunities into orders (lead proposal negotiation closure).
  • Drive specification selling with consultants and system integrators.
  • Participate in tenders, techno-commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage large project sales (grid-scale / captive / hybrid projects).
4. Technical & Solution Selling
  • Promote complete BESS solutions:
    • Battery packs (LFP/NMC)
    • PCS (Power Conversion System)
    • EMS (Energy Management System)
    • Containerized solutions
  • Provide techno-commercial proposals aligned with customer requirements.
  • Educate customers on ROI, lifecycle benefits, and application advantages.
5. Channel & Partner Management
  • Develop and manage channel partners, distributors, and system integrators.
  • Drive indirect sales through partner ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, SCM, execution) for project success.
6. Market Intelligence & Strategy
  • Track competition, pricing trends, and regulatory developments in energy storage.
  • Identify new opportunities in:
    • Renewable integration
    • Peak shaving
    • Backup power
    • EV charging infrastructure
  • Translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
7. Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor regional sales teams.
  • Set targets, review performance, and drive productivity.
  • Enable team through training on products, solutions, and selling techniques.
