| The People Analytics team at Salesforce drives our client groups and partners to make data-informed and more inquisitive decisions faster. We build a decision support system to grow and scale our business. In this role you will contribute as a member of our People Data Governance & Quality team in the testing of data capabilities that support HR applications across the Employee Success organization and the enterprise. This can include, but not be limited to Tableau, Workday, and other corporate data system feeds that may flow between these and other systems. We are looking for someone with knowledge of development and testing to promote better design, engineering decisions, and help implement bug prevention strategies. | |
| Daily responsibilities: | |
| Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and timely delivery of data products. - Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases for data applications to ensure reliability of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations. - E2E integration testing between multiple independent systems and interfaces - Utilize AWS, Snowflake, Oracle, and other services to test data integration and migration processes. - Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of database systems using SQL, Python, Bash, etc. - Create and maintain documentation of test plans, cases, and results. - Collaborate with data engineering and analyst teams to implement data quality best practices and optimize data workflows - Document data quality issues, testing procedures, and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing | |
| Top three required technical skills: | |
| 1. | ataccama - Informatica DVC (DVC specific) data validation center OR Selenium |
| 2. | SQL 5 years minimym, Python 1-2 years minimum |
| 3 | Strong analytical and technical skills to address sophisticated issues, Ability to perform root cause analysis on defects. Ability to assist in developing and maintaining data governance policies and standards. Detailed and organized approach to solving problems. - Strong Communication Skills. BS/BA degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field - 3+ years of professional experience in analytics, finance, statistics, consulting, or other related fields - Experience with manipulating data in SQL and Python is required. - Experience with Data Analysis, Business Analysis, and visualization tools like Tableau - Experience with formal Data Quality software like Ataccama, Informatics, Talend, etc. - Experience with Workday or other HRIS, applicant tracking, and performance management systems preferred - Experience in a cloud-based analytics ecosystem like AWS, Azure, etc., is a plus. |
