Qualifications:
windows Administration
- Install physical servers with knowledge of RAID concepts and server hardware models
- Rack mounting of different server hardware (various makes & models)
- Configure iLO / iDRAC for server management
- Perform L2 troubleshooting for Windows OS and root cause analysis
- Manage 100+ servers with knowledge of Windows Server clustering
- Conduct hardware issue analysis and coordinate with vendors
- Experience in performance monitoring, tuning, OS hardening, and patching
VMware Infrastructure Administration
- VM installation and deployment
- VMware Distributed Switch configuration
- VMware Cluster Management
- Deploy VMs from templates
- Perform P2V migration
- Knowledge of resource pools, VM cloning, and snapshots
- VMware resource management
Backup & Storage Administration
- Backup tools: Commvault, EMC Networker
- Disk-based backup appliances: EMC Data Domain, Client StoreOnce
- Tape Library / Virtual Tape Library administration
- Install and configure backup applications
- Data Domain administration and replication setup
- Configure DD Boost (FC, IP, CIFS, NFS, VTL)
- Manage module-based backups (SAP, Oracle, SQL, Messaging)
- Pre & post backup scripting and proxy-based VM backups (ESXi, Xen)
- Troubleshoot Data Domain and Networker issues
- Performance monitoring and tuning
ITIL, Audit & Compliance
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
- Experience in audit and compliance activities
Storage & Operating Systems
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows OS
- Understanding of Volume Groups (VG), Logical Volumes (LV), File Systems (FS)
- Basic knowledge of SAN storage management
Scripting
- Basic knowledge of Shell scripting
