Senior Program Manager
Position Summary:

Based in our Pune facility, the New Product Development (NPD) Sr. Program / Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle of developing and launching new products into retail and commercial distribution channels. Under the direction of the Director of New Product Development, the NPD Project Manager drives project execution through coordination of activities across functions, ensures clarity of plans and milestones, manages budget and resources, identifies and mitigates risk, and communicates effectively across functions and to executive leadership.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Program Strategy & Planning
- Act as the primary interface between leadership, business, and execution teams, ensuring alignment across all levels
- Engage and collaborate with global cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.)
- Define program vision, objectives, and roadmap aligned with overall business strategy
- Develop long-term execution plans, milestones, and delivery frameworks
- Break down strategic initiatives into multiple interrelated projects with clear ownership
- Own and manage program financials, including budget planning, tracking, and optimization
- Establish and monitor success metrics (KPIs/OKRs); provide regular executive updates via dashboards and reports
- Proactively identify program-level risks, define mitigation strategies, and drive closure
- Manage program scope, change requests, and impact analysis effectively
- Lead large-scale, global engineering programs with team sizes of 25-35+ members, preferably across Electronics and Mechanical domain
- Program Governance & Execution
- Lead end-to-end program execution, especially in New Product Development (NPD) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environments from concept to commercialization
- Drive adherence to stage-gate processes, governance models, and best practices
- Actively participate in design reviews, validation, and product testing phases
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, compliance, and customer requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects and processes
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Identify and resolve dependencies, bottlenecks, and resource constraints
- Track program performance using key metrics:
- Schedule adherence
- Budget utilization
- Quality and delivery performance
- Develop and present structured status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
- Drive data-based decision-making and proactive issue resolution
- Manage interdependencies across projects to ensure seamless program integration
- Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and coach Project Managers, Technical Leads, and cross-functional teams
- Build and nurture high-performing, scalable teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Influence stakeholders and teams without direct authority in a matrix organization

Act as PMO by driving use of standardized project methodologies and tools, facilitating best practice sharing across teams, and maintaining strong governance ensuring consistent execution

For This Role, You Will Need:

Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IEC, UL, CE, ATEX, CSA etc.)
Familiar with MATLAB/Simulink
Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, forging, casting, stamping, or plastic molding
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple large, complex endtoend technical projects at a time
- Knowledge of DFM & A
People management skills like building effective team, conflict management, Talent development, building networks
Global perspective - Experience in working at global and crossfunctional environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and drive accountability across multiple departments and levels
- Analytical mindset with experience using quantitative tools, cost models, and data driven decision making
Aware of PDMLink Practices like Windchill
Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to progress projects forward independently
Ability to resolve issues, make decisions and provide advice to project team members and functional leaders supporting product development teams
Software skills: Microsoft office, Creo (Expert level)
Excellent negotiation and customerhandling abilities.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Degree in Mechatronics / Electronics Engineering with relevant experience 15+ years in Valve Domain, Solenoid Valves, Actuators, Valve Automation and FRLs.
Good understanding of NPD and Engineer To Order gate processes
- Demonstrated project management success leading cross-functional teams in a product development environment in diversified fields like Mechanical, and Embedded
- Hands on in Embedded Communication Protocols like Profinet, Profibus, IO Link, Ethernet IP, CAN, EtherCAT etc.
- Understanding of EMI / EMC testing, FPGA programming

Collaborate with engineering teams on hardware design, firmware, and system architecture decisions.
