Job Description:
- Perform system management and optimization tuning for operational systems implemented with high-availability configurations (Windows 11, macOS, Linux).
- Develop scripts and automate system/OS tasks based on requirements across the different platforms mentioned. · Act as Level 3 (L3) support for systems and applications.
- Work with business units to gather and understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions for implementation.
- Use a ticketing system to track and manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes. · Provide on-call support for various systems, including during emergency situations when systems are in emergency management mode.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in Windows Server operating systems and associated hardware components.
- Provide troubleshooting support and advanced analysis within the Windows Server environment (DNS, DHCP, Domain Controllers).
- Own, track, and resolve issues related to Windows servers (both physical and virtual), including incidents and service requests.
- Configure and support mobile devices and smartphones. · Plan and implement network security and redundancy, including cryptography, host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery, file system integrity, and user account management.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for users on operating systems and other applications. · Anticipate communication and network issues and implement preventive measures. · Manage file server permissions and create/delete shared folders.
- Investigate user issues, identify root causes, determine solutions, and implement fixes. · Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops (Windows and macOS), network cabling, and related equipment.
- Perform and/or oversee software installation and upgrades, including Windows OS (7/10/11), macOS, Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Citrix clients, antivirus software, VPN, DLP, and other applications.
- Resolve a wide range of technical issues related to computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Support a mixed environment including VDI (VMware View), Windows 11, macOS, Windows Server 2022/2025, and Red Hat Linux.
- Collaborate with Service Operations teams (Windows and Unix Administration) to design, implement, manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support customer environments.
- Implement new system hardware and software, and develop local operating procedures and policies as required. · Monitor system performance and provide utilization reports to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Update firmware and maintain device profiles for VDI client systems.
- Deliver efficient and accurate service while meeting strict deadlines.
- Design solutions and collaborate with IT teams to manage Group Policies in Active Directory.
- Maintain and optimize centralized imaging solutions.
