Essential Job Functions:
Technical Leadership
- Lead full-stack or backend development initiatives using Java and modern frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, etc.)
- Architect and deliver production-ready applications from concept to deployment
- Establish coding standards and best practices for AI-assisted development workflows
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards, security practices, and performance requirements
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers on effective AI tool usage and software engineering principles
- Leverage AI tools (Claude, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) for accelerated development, code generation, refactoring, and testing
- Build complete features and modules using AI tools as primary development assistants
- Validate, optimize, and productionize AI-generated code
- Develop prompts and workflows that maximize AI tool effectiveness for complex development tasks
- Document and share successful AI-assisted development patterns with the team
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
- Implement secure, scalable database solutions (SQL and NoSQL)
- Build responsive front-end interfaces (React, Angular, or Vue) - for full-stack role
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Experience
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- 4+ years with Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience using AI coding tools (Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) for production code development
- Proven track record of shipping end-to-end features or products built primarily with AI assistance
- Experience leading or mentoring development teams (for Tech Lead track)
- Core Java: Java 11+, multithreading, collections, streams, design patterns
- Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar
- APIs: RESTful services, GraphQL (preferred)
- Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Version Control: Git, branching strategies, code review workflows
- Testing: JUnit, Mockito, TestContainers, integration testing
- Frontend (for full-stack): React, TypeScript

Demonstrated experience using AI tools for:
- Writing production-ready code from specifications
- Code refactoring and optimization
- Test generation and coverage improvement
- Debugging and troubleshooting
- Technical documentation generation
- System design and architecture planning
- Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-generated code safely
- Understanding of AI tool limitations and appropriate human oversight
- Experience with event-driven architecture and domain-driven design (DDD)
- Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog)
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, or WebSocket implementations
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Published content or talks on AI-assisted development
- Experience in agile/scrum environments
- Certification in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
