Roles & responsibilities
You will gain exposure to the high pressure, fast-paced world oftransactions through delivering operational finance Integrationand Separation (I&S) projects. Your role on a project will include:
Assisting CFOs and finance stakeholders on the buy-side or sell-side to plan and execute changes in the finance organisation asrequired by the transaction. This will be across the entire deal life-cycle from pre-deal to post-deal phases of the transaction.
You will work across a variety of industry sectors and locationswith clients of varying size and complexity. We also work withother advisory firms (banks, law firms, technology companies,and other accounting firms) on deals, as required, which dependson the nature and scope of the engagement.
Providing day to day support to project office activities, and leadPMO activities on small to medium sized engagements.
Lead the support to the finance work streams on I&S projects,supporting client work stream leads to fulfil their work streamobjectives.
Ownership and maintenance of engagement financials and onlarger projects oversee the work of more junior staff.
Contribution of content for sections of reports/deliverables on I&Sprojects.
When you are not working on a project, you will provide supportto senior colleagues in preparation of proposal and businessdevelopment initiative.
Mandatory technical & functional skills
Familiar with the deal lifecycle from pre-signing to post-closeoperations; Experience assisting with M&A transactions will be ahuge plus
Experience with project management, process analysis, processredesign, financial systems, analytics, or financial analysisrequired.
Understand the finance and accounting function and experiencewith one or more F&A sub-functions including Order to Cash,Procure to Pay, Record to Report, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, andInternal Audit is preferred
Familiar with transition service agreements (TSAs), charts ofaccounts, and shared services
A good awareness of the component parts of a finance functionand the typical organizational structure, processes, controls,systems and performance metrics/ benchmarks
A keen interest in merger and acquisitions, with financial andcommercial awareness, Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills areessential

Educational qualifications
MBA/CA/ACCA/CIMA -Accounting equivalent degree in a relatedfield from an accredited college/university
