Data Analyst - AB

IT Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to focus on analyzing, cleansing and improving our Salesforce data.

Describe the role:
This role is related to a strategic project for our Client Group organization. The Data Analyst will work as part of a team of AB Employees and Contractors to deliver a significant uplift in AB's Salesforce experience for our Institutional business. Familiarity with Salesforce data models, reports SQL, Python and data tools is critical for success. An understanding of the Salesforce Account / Contact object structure is required.

This role will be involved in a broad revamping of our data and toolsets for the Client Group that needs to take place to fuel our future growth globally across channels. This includes the improving the data structures, bringing together client interactions, sales, content, readership, and third-party data sets, to enable more nimble, effective, and predictive business intelligence, a re-organization and simplification of our CRM, and the build out of new front-end tools for our global Sales teams.


The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Working as part of an Agile team to deliver data clean up processes and rules to eliminate duplicate records
• Mapping of 3rd party / non-Salesforce originated datasets into our Salesforce org
• Extensive querying and cleansing of data
• Ability to work with stakeholders to understand the data and identify potential risks for certain changes
• Working with standard data tools such as Salesforce Data Loader, ETL, & dbAmp cleanse & improve / enhance our data
• Participation in Agile ceremonies
• Documentation of data model and changes

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have the following:

Qualifications, Experience, and Education:
• 3 – 5 years working experience as a Data Analyst
• Proven experience working with Salesforce
• Strong SQL & Python skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated experience working with & analyzing large data sets to identify issues / improvements, trends, etc
• Salesforce experience is strongly desired
• Detail oriented with strong documentation skills

• Understanding and appreciation of downstream impacts to making changes in data
