Job Purpose: This position will be responsible for independently managing product sourcing, pricing, contract negotiation, and strategic storage optimization, ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply chain for the bunkering.

Education Qualification:

MBA or Post Graduation

Sourcing and Logistics Incharge

Product Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Identify and establish relationships with reliable fuel oil suppliers to ensure consistent supply.
  • Monitor global market trends and analyze pricing fluctuations to inform product sourcing decisions.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficient transportation of fuel oil via rail and ships in coordination with cargo supplier
  • Develop strategies for mitigating supply chain risks, including disruptions in the shipping market or geopolitical factors

Pricing and Contract Management

  • Keep updated on global fuel oil pricing trends, analyze prices, and execute competitive pricing tactics.
  • Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with the company's business objectives
  • Possess a deep understanding of Inco terms, including commercial and payment terms, and apply them effectively in negotiations and contracts
  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from procurement Planning to execution, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Strategic Storage Management

  • Oversee the management of fuel oil storage facilities, with a primary emphasis on the Mundra site/Any Other to maintain ideal inventory levels and maximize cost-efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to coordinate storage and distribution operations, aiming to reduce bottlenecks and enhance overall operational productivity.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with storage, including monitoring inventory levels, quality control, and compliance with safety standards.

Logistics Planning:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize costs and delivery times
  • Design initiatives to minimise leakages and handling loss in logistics process
  • Manage risks through proactive process improvement opportunities to ensure effective management of logistics activities

Logistics Tank and Rail Management

  • Contract management of barges / floaters
  • Monitoring barge / floater utilization
  • Coordinate suppliers and railways for timely placement, loading and movement of rakes
  • Contracting of tank trucks for physical supplies from various sources
