- A DevOps Engineer is responsible for streamlining the software development lifecycle by combining development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) to enable continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automation of deployment processes.
- Their key goal is to improve collaboration between development teams and system administrators, reduce deployment times, and enhance system reliability and scalability.
- They design, implement, and maintain automation pipelines to build, test, and deploy software efficiently and consistently across environments such as development, staging, and production.
- DevOps Engineers manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, enabling version-controlled and replicable environment setups.
