Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the complete supply chain function for electronic components including procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
- Manage sourcing of electronic components, semiconductors, PCB assemblies, and related materials.
- Build strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers/vendors.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support production and customer commitments.
- Drive cost optimization, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.
- Monitor inventory levels and reduce excess/obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, Engineering, and Finance teams for demand planning and forecasting.
- Handle import/export operations, compliance, and documentation.
- Track supply chain KPIs and prepare MIS reports for management review.
- Mitigate supply chain risks, shortages, and disruptions proactively.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team for high performance and operational excellence.
Good to have:
- Hands on experience in sourcing for electronic components and a strong network with the owners/management of most of the global distributors/OCM’s and eco-system players
- Strong understanding of the semiconductor/electronics supply chain ecosystem.
- Expertise in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and inventory planning.
- Experience handling global suppliers and import/export operations.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and supply chain planning tools.
- Knowledge of demand forecasting and production planning.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations preferred.
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or component distribution companies.
- Exposure to handling high-value and fast-moving electronic components.
- Experience managing supply chain during shortages and volatile market conditions.
