About The Job:

- Mandatory Skills: jBPM / BAMOE or Kogito; Java, Spring Boot / Quarkus, Java microservices; experience with GRC / IRM platforms such as SAP or ServiceNow GRC.
- The role focuses on automating internal telecom functions including regulatory compliance, legal processes, information security workflows, finance operations, and supply chain management using BPMN/DMN and enterprise platforms.
- This position leads jBPM-based process orchestration for telecom internal operations, ensuring UK regulatory and Ofcom-aligned workflows.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design BPMN 2.0 and DMN models for internal functions including Ofcom regulatory submissions, legal contract lifecycle management, infosec threat and vulnerability workflows, finance approvals, reconciliations, vendor onboarding, and supply chain processes.
- Implement jBPM-based processes (with BAMOE or Kogito exposure) to orchestrate GRC use cases such as risk registers, control assessments, policy attestations, regulatory obligation tracking, and audit remediation.
- Build integrations between jBPM processes and Java / Spring Boot services using REST, Kafka, or gRPC, preferably via enterprise API gateways such as Apigee or Azure API Management.
- Implement and automate Request Management workflows using platforms such as Jira Service Management, including approvals, task assignment, SLA tracking, and notifications.
- Optimize BPM solutions for telecom-scale internal scenarios including high-volume infosec incidents, recurring regulatory evidence collection, and mass policy attestation campaigns.
- Deploy and operate highly available jBPM / BAMOE / Kogito solutions on Kubernetes (AWS EKS), supporting asynchronous processing, human task management, and full audit trails.
- Participate in BPM maturity assessments and migration initiatives from legacy workflow tools to jBPM-based platforms.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, InfoSec, Finance, Supply Chain, and GRC stakeholders to translate control frameworks into executable BPMN/DMN workflows.
- Define API gateway standards for authentication, throttling, logging, and event-driven integrations.
- Design and optimize Oracle database schemas and PL/SQL objects to support BPM workflows and microservices with audit-ready data structures.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in BPM with deep expertise in jBPM, BAMOE, or Kogito.
- Strong Java backend experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot or Quarkus, and microservices architectures.
- Experience building RESTful and event-driven integrations, custom BPM work item handlers, and messaging-based workflows.
- Exposure to Oracle RDBMS including PL/SQL, performance tuning, and audit-ready schema design (basic exposure required, strong expertise preferred).
- Hands-on experience with GRC / IRM platforms (SAP GRC, ServiceNow GRC, or similar).
- Strong understanding of UK telecom regulatory and compliance frameworks including Ofcom GC11, GDPR, and Telecommunications Security Act.
- Added advantage: Experience with NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, SIEM integration, SOAR-style orchestration, and role-based escalations.
- DevOps exposure including Kubernetes (EKS), Kafka Streams, ELK stack, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and clearly communicate process designs and control coverage.
- Certifications preferred: Red Hat jBPM / Process Automation Manager, BAMOE or Kogito; security, risk, or compliance certifications are valued.
