Description:
Seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer with hands-on AWS or Azure experience and strong IaC skills. The role focuses on managing, maintaining, and optimising cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security through automation and proactive monitoring. The engineer will troubleshoot issues, streamline operations, and support deployment processes, driving operational excellence within the cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate and support cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS or Azure.
2. Manage cloud environments to ensure availability, scalability, performance, and reliability.
3. Implement and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
4. Provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform.
5. Automate configuration management and operational tasks using Ansible.
6. Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, YAML, and shell scripting.
7. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation using GitLab.
8. Enforce cloud security, governance, and operational standards.
9. Monitor cloud platforms, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve infrastructure issues.
10. Support backup, disaster recovery, and resilience requirements.
11. Collaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to support workloads.
12. Continuously improve cloud operations through automation and standardization.
13. Stay current with cloud services, IaC tools, and operational best practices. |
