Subject Matter Expert - Chemistry

Role: Subject Matter Expert (Chemistry)

Purpose:

Responsible for developing, reviewing, and enhancing Chemistry curriculum content aligned with educational standards and board requirements. Ensure high-quality learning experiences, scientific accuracy, instructional effectiveness, and curriculum alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review Chemistry curriculum content, lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and digital learning resources.
• Align curriculum content with CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge, and State Board guidelines.
• Design engaging, learner-centric, and competency-based learning experiences.
• Create teaching aids, practical activities, experiments, and ICT-enabled resources.
• Ensure curriculum accuracy, conceptual clarity, and pedagogical effectiveness.
• Identify and resolve content gaps, errors, and inconsistencies.
• Support development of formative, summative, and competency-based assessments.
• Collaborate with educators, curriculum developers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Conduct research on current trends and best practices in Chemistry education and curriculum design.
• Ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge, or State Board curricula
• Experience in EdTech, publishing, or K-12 academic content development
• Familiarity with competency-based education and NEP-aligned curriculum frameworks

Experience & Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry
• B.Ed. mandatory
• 8–12 years of experience in: Teaching Chemistry, Curriculum Development & Academic Content Creation
